Why is PSD Documenting Work-Based Learning Outcomes?
- Career and Technical Education (CTE) - Perkins Performance Goal: 35% of CTE Concentrators complete a WBL opportunity of 30+ hours related to their CTE pathway.
- Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness PWR BIG 3 Funding and Accountability - Some WBL Opportunities that are 60+ hours will count on your school performance framework and some qualify for the PWR incentive funding.
Work-Based Learning (WBL) Documentation & Forms:
The following must be completed and uploaded to Xello by May 29, 2026
Step #1: Students "add a WBL opportunity" in Xello
- Follow these instructions to "add opportunities" in Xello - Presentation Link - Xello How To Link
Step #2: Upload required documents in the Xello Opportunity (this may be done by students or the teacher)
- Before the WBL opportunity begins:
- Students earning PSD credit: Work-Based Learning Agreement with Training Plan - LINK
- OR
- Students not earning PSD credit: Training Plan - 2026 WBL PSD Fillable Training Plan
- Students earning PSD credit: Work-Based Learning Agreement with Training Plan - LINK
- At the end of each quarter or semester:
- Supervisor Evaluation w/hours - 2025 Work-Based Learning Employer Eval - Final Fillable (1)
- Work-Based Learning Reflection - 2026 fillable Work-Based Learning (WBL) Student Narrative Form
Step #3: Upload addtional supporting documentation (optional)
- Artifacts - Presentations, photos, portfolios, etc.
Job Shadows and Career Tour Forms:
Job Shadow: Students that participate in a Job Shadow that is organized by PSD and are attending without a PSD staff member should complete this FORM
Career Tour: Students that attend a Career Tour and a PSD staff member will be chaperoning should complete the PSD field trip form (one-day) - LINK
